Co-owner and manager Margaret Galbraith and her husband Dwight established and have operated Whidbey Cleaners since 1981. Margaret is a former home economics teacher with Oak Harbor and Coupeville schools and a graduate of the University of Washington, Home Economics department. Margaret is the hands on manager for the dry cleaners and laundry. Dwight has spent 30 years teaching math, science, and computers as a full time teacher in the Oak Harbor public schools and is a graduate of New Mexico Military Institute, Pacific Lutheran University, Western Washington University. , He keeps the equipment in good repair and does the bookkeeping. They both together have extensive backgrounds in business, education, fabrics, sewing, chemistry, equipment maintenance and repair.
